American Aluminum Windows

Here I will describe my experiences at American Aluminum Windows.

American Windows was a manufacturing company in Malden Massachusetts which rain on an IBM System 34, programmed in RPG-II.

I did not realize when I was hired that they were financially troubled and were within 3 months of closing in bankruptcy, but those 3 months taught me my most important lesson in RPG-II programming: re-usable indicators. RPG is a language driven by 99 indicators which may be turned on or off and which either alone or in groups signal the performance of certain actions.
